Massimo Bottini's Research Focus

A novel nanotechnology approach for osteoarthritis 

Dr. Bottini’s goal is to fabricate efficient and biocompatible nanoparticles to deliver cargo into osteoarthritic chondrocytes and reestablish cartilage homeostasis. His laboratory discovered that graphitic nanoparticles are able to deliver cargo into osteoarthritic chondrocytes in vivo and is optimizing the cargo delivery efficiency and biocompatibility of nanoparticles in the joints of arthritic mice.

Massimo Bottini's Bio

Dr. Bottini earned his Ph.D. in Sensorial and Learning Systems at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy in 2004.
